Free time spent on a mountain always involve some sort of risk. With this for your own safety we inform about insurance necessity.
European Union has a joint insurance program that allows EU citizen's access to states provided emergency medical healthcare. This card is for free. If emergency occurs during your skiing activity on the mountain non EU citizens have to pay for emergency healthcare services provided.
With EHIC - European Health Insurance Card (in Latvian EVAK) costs for these services are covered by insurance. For all rules and in order to apply for the European Health Insurance Card please see http://www.ehic.org/index.html.
If there is a medical emergency occurred staff from emergency or hospital will ask you to fill out the form. Form will be in Latvian. These forms in English and Russian will be available at mountain administration person who will call for emergency.
